John founded Acertado to share his experience and passion for investing with people interested in transitioning to retirement.

He spent most of his career managing portfolios at the institutional level for large corporations.

John grew up in the rural Midwest, spent most of his corporate years in Chicago and lived a spell in Hoboken. Today, he resides in Fort Lauderdale, where he enjoys the city’s outdoors year-round and exploring its restaurants and cultural happenings. Having lived and studied in South America, he speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
